Upcoming Soul Retrieval Ceremony for Beltaine

Beltaine is a sacred holiday to many pagans, and it celebrates the beginning of Summer, fertility, sexuality, and the sacred joining of masculine and feminine energies.

This time of year can feel a bit frenetic, and many folks can be reminded of painful sexual experiences, relationships, etc. I will be conducting a healing ceremony at THE Beltane Event, in Darlington, MD, in order to help participants work with these energies for their own healing.

Soul Retrieval for Survivors of Sexual & Relationship Abuse

Soul Retrieval is a shamanic technique of healing first re-discovered by Sandra Ingerman. When a person is the victim of a traumatic event or crisis, a piece of him/herself will dissociate, in order to survive the ordeal. Sometimes, shamanic healing is needed to help guide the soul essence back to the person (especially in cases of prolonged or deeply traumatic crises). This shamanic healing ritual, led by Monika Lonely Coyote, is to help anyone who has ever experienced rape, abu…

Psychopomp Workshop at Trillium Gathering, a Druid festival

This weekend, I will be presenting at ADF's Trillium Gathering at Thor's Hollow, Virginia.

I will be providing a lecture on Psychopomps within Indo-European cultures and beyond. This work is dear to my heart, and is some of the most powerful, personal work I have ever done within my shamanic practice. I look forward to introducing it to others, and sharing stories and experiences around the Sacred Fires.

See you there!

Unseelie Weather, and working with a partner for shamanic healing

This sort of chaotic weather was reflected in the Otherworlds, too.

During the most recent Sacred Space Conference, a dear friend received a profound insight from the Morrighan regarding the most-recent Spring Equinox. There would be a rather painful "changing of the guard,"  with some of the fallout potentially affecting the human realms.

I read my friend's write-up, and then promptly forgot all about it...

I was reminded quite viscerally during a Healing Ceremony this past Sunday. As I sang my sacred songs to invite my Helping Spirits, I noticed that no one was showing up. It was like the winds in the Otherworlds were blowing as hard as a tornado, and no one could find their way to me.

"They are few things more horrifying for a shaman than to call out to t…

Happy Sacred Day to you!

Today's day of Sacred Silliness is brought to you by my previous post last year, which discusses the holy role of the Foolish One.  It is also brought to you by pictures of me being silly!

Happy April Fool's Day! Shake up your energy by laughing uproariously at life; howl at the irony of an obstacle, and giggle until you can't catch your breath! Aaaaooooooooo ha ha ha!
